I noticed that I made it difficult for someone who preferred not to comment on my last post a little porn ... hehehe .... So I think it is appropriate to go back to something classic. An alternative photo from the Dettifoss waterfall, with a wider view in the WS, which I had already posted 5 years ago.
Dettifoss is a waterfall in Vatnajokull National Park in Northeast Iceland, and is the most powerful waterfall in Europe.However, the Norwegian Sarpefossen has a greater average water flow but only with about half the height of Dettifoss.Dettifoss is situated on the Jokulsa a Fjollum river, which flows from the Vatnajokull glacier and collects water from a large area in Northeast Iceland. The falls are 100 metres (330 ft) wide and have a drop of 45 metres (150 ft) down to the Jokulsargljufur canyon. It is the largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, having an average water flow of 193 m3/s.

The woman's tenuous clifftop position looks kind of dangerous. Good sharpness and shadow detail and the shutter speed is at just the right setting for my tastes. Tfs!

Both pictures show powerful mighty nature, Luciano.
In my humble opinion, though the main picture has a great effect with the water, the WS is beautifully presented with the place, much imposing sight - worth to be main post as well.
Anyway, fine outcome on the two.

Hello Luciano,
This reminds me almost shockingly about the tsunami disaster in Asia in 2004. With this tight crop we can't be sure it's just an innocent waterfall behind the lady. It could be seen as a giant wave coming towards the couple and they are too busy to notice it. It's a very good photo, but the WS is just as good, and also quite dramatic, but seen from a safe point.

De la manière que tu as pris la photo, les personnes seront bientôt enveloppées par l'eau. La prise de vue permet de voir l'action du photographe et les détails de la chute d'eau. Une belle réussite, bonne journée.

I like the way you captured the wall of water behind the people. It's a small section of Dettifoss but it's easy to see that it's huge. Great contrast between the scene of green summery vegetation and the raging waterfall.

Hello Luciano, the wall of water is an excellent background for this photographer and his model, and also for you, as you took in the whole scene.
The workshop picture gives us an excellent idea of the scale.
The water is falling so fast that it becomes almost blurred, or maybe that is spray.
I like the light that informs us where the top of the waterfall is, as well as it shining on the woman.

The movement of water in the fall is so well captured here....Extremely sharp pic on this well lit day....I like the expressions on lady's face...mix of smile and nervousness....I hope these single roped boundary actually serves the purpose for which it is made...

Hello Luciano,
A very special background for the photo of the couple and of course also for the photo that the man takes of the lady.
Since we know that the scene takes place in Iceland, we can suspect that we see a waterfall in the background. First I also thought of a geyser, but for safety reasons you should probably keep more distance there.
The photo in the WS clarified completely.
It must have been a thunderous roar given the great flow of the falling water.
The impressive nature is presented here in an overwhelming way.

I have a question for you...did you get to see the waterfall from the OTHER side...that's where I was. I drove for 2 hours down a pot holed unpaved road to get there, but I did it. So worth it. The view in the WS is the more popular view, the more popular side of the waterfall that most tourists visit, not the other side. as for this main shot, I love it, creative composition wise, and it works so effectively. makes me wish I got the same shot. well done

Hi Luciano,

This is a good concept for a photo. At first look it is difficult to work out what the background is. It also helps to show the huge size of the waterfall, filling up the field of view. It's a little overexposed at the top, but that's hard to avoid. The workshop photo is very impressive too.

In fact next to Portugal also Iceland is on the British green list but I went to Madeira after the sun which by the way was not there. All wee I had clouds and rain which was quite depressing, that is why my best photos were at the blue hour :(
Fantastic composition here with well used waterfall fragment as a backdrop.

The noise from the wall of water must have been very loud, but this couple is completely focused on taking their photo. Nice focus on the people, with the water roaring down behind them.
