Photographer's Note
This is one of those photos I've been wanting to post for awhile. Better late than never.
There are very few photos of Reykjavik's city streets, the residential areas. I took the time to walk around and get lost in the inner city.
Here we have a large house with an interesting mural, I still don't quite understand what it is, and there is a much better photo of it in the WS.
I posted this shot instead because I wanted the interaction of the local children playing some type of ball game. When I came closer and started taking photos, the children left :( I guess I scared them off.
Hopefully you'll find this one a interesting and different from Iceland. It reminded me of my own childhood times.

Bonjour, cher Craig,
Nous avons l'impression d'être sur une autre planète à travers cette fresque réalisée sur ce mur pignon aux formes étranges et à l'originalité des mains, il faut percer ce mystère !
Très bien.
Très bonne journée.
Amitiés.

Hello Craig, Interesting mural, I have no idea what is it. Is it a globe? Nice scene with the kids. I like the view of the jumping boy. The street scene in the Workshop is also lovely.
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Craig,
I have no idea what the painting means, but I get feelings of references to astrology or maybe a fantasy story or computer game. But that's just a wild guess. The painting and even more the children's activities make this a street-shot to my taste. That goes for the street-view in the WS too. I have often wondered if Reykjavik is so totally boring, or why it's practically only the cathedral that ever is shown here. Obviously nice photos could be found even in this small city.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Craig,
I understand your dilemma, the w/s does show the mural more clearly but, the interaction with the children more than makes up for the difference of angle.
I have no idea what the mural means.
I find it quite creepy and would not like it on my house.
Were it in England, I might suspect that it had something to do with the The Masons.
Lovely additional photograph revealing a sunny day in the capital.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Bonjour Craig,
Ce mur était fait pour y dessiner une belle murale et aussi pour servir de mur d'entraînement pour ces jeunes plein de vie avec de l'énergie à dépenser.
Amicalement

Hi Craig,
I like the graphism of the almost b&w wall of the building with its numerous sketches. The people add scale and a splash of colour. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

Hello Craig
Reykjavik in the summer and in the sun. Better than the rainy weather I had in the capital of Iceland but much better than the weather yesterday when all the airports in the country were closed except for one flight from Seattle.
Interesting wall painting.
Have a nice day, groet Rob

Craig, nice daily life scene from the Iceland capital. That group of children is playing in a wasteland located at the foot of a house. An original mural representing a tree is painted on the facade. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hi Craig,
I thought that's dancing, But indeed there is a ball. Impressive mural covering the whole wall. There's lots of different signs there, but the meaning is not so important. I couldn't guess this is Iceland.

Hello Craig,
Great photo of this large mural on the side of the house, it was illuminated perfectly by the bright sunlight. The playing children are very well included in the foreground as well and they add a lot of life to the photo.

A very nice mural, I think the interpretation depends on the viewer, it can be a keyhole to watch the world, or a tree that is also a hand, well captured regards Ryszard

Hello Craig,
It's great to see some street art from Reykjavik, and I like the scene taking place in front of it, too. I tried to find more info about the artist and the mural, but my search came up empty. Whatever this is about, it's definitely eye-catching. :-)

Hello Craig,
Only when I opened the thumbnail, realized that there is one young girl in a motion while playing the red ball.
But, another attraction on this picture - the wall. Not easy to decipher, but I like the painting.
The combination was well made, my cong.s.
Ike
