Þingvellir is a site of historical, cultural, and geological importance and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. It lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
This little fall looks insignificant. But it falls right over the edge of the North American tectonic plate.

Hello Kari, this has such great sharpness, it is quite 3-dimensional.
Lovely composition and natural colours.
I guess that water is really cold?

An interesting place with this very special location. Not many colours in sight here but a very impressive view with the strong blue colours against the brown rocks. A beautiful view!

I would really love to visit Iceland one day. This landscape too is really beautiful. I like the combination of the water, the rough rocks and the gentle, snowy slopes in the background. The light brings out some fine and natural colours.

I can see why it's such a popular spot. it really is a very beautiful and unspoilt place. And you had good weather by the looks of it, which has accentuated the beautiful hues and also assisted with the whites on the water and blue tones. How delightful. Hello Kari, I see that Iceland is trendy on TE. Beautiful picture, one can almost hear the sound of this stream. Nice composition .Beautiful landscape, pure nature. Stunning sharpness. So this is the edge of the plate? Interesting.
