Photographer's Note
Yesterday I showed the peculiar road sign and the group of divers. I was curious if they would be really diving, so I followed them. And here they are. Must have been fun but I do not regret that I haven't swum there.
Silfra is a rift formed in the divergent tectonic boundary between the North American and Eurasian plates and is located in the Þingvallavatn Lake in the Þingvellir National Park in Iceland.ilfra lies in the Þingvellir valley and within the Þingvellir National Park. The valley, and Silfra itself, were formed by the divergent tectonic drift of the Eurasian and North American plates. The plates drift about 2 cm (0.79 in) farther apart every year, building up tension between the plates and the earth mass above. This tension is relieved through periodic major earthquakes at approximately ten year intervals, which have caused cracks and fissures to form in Þingvellir valley; Silfra lies at the rim of the Þingvallavatn Lake and is one of the largest and deepest of these fissures. Scuba divers and snorkelers are attracted to Sifra's exceptionally clear, fresh water, its geological significance and the rare opportunity to swim between continental plates. (From Wikipedia)

Hello Malgo,
More pictures of these intrepid divers in the cold cold snow. I think I like the middle photo best, but all are nice to look at and demonstrate good technical quality.
You will have to wait until the end of next week for something new in my gallery ;-)

Bonjour, chère Malgo,
Trois superbes prises de vue éclaboussantes de beauté froide !
Il faut avoir du courage pour aller visiter les fonds marins.
Félicitations pour ces présentations et la note.
Amitiés.

Hello Malgo,
So their diving equipment wasn't just for show! Great to see the divers again in this white landscape with many blue tones as well. You were so lucky with the beautiful, bright weather here. Very well done.

Hello Malgo,
You have captured details of something that surprises me, immensely, that people go diving in icy waters just for the pleasure of it! I suppose they must have the same desires that drove explorers to trek across the polar regions, just to see what was there and record their experiences!
Three interesting and quite unique photographs from Iceland.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Malgo,
The light shining on the snow made this a very good day for taking photos (as long as the battery lasted). But the divers should have been wearing red or yellow wet suits to make the second photo as bright as the first. Anyway it must have been a fun experience for all of you, and the photos are very exotic.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Malgo,
A superb trio of images depicted the fissure and curious divers. So this is where the North American plate meets the European plate in geological terms. Tfs!

Ciao Malgo,
Très joli triptyque pour célébrer l'expérience de se jeter dans l'eau glacée de ce ruisseau. Rendu à mon âge je crois bien que je vais m'abstenir. Par contre, le paysage de neige est de toute beauté.
Amicalement

Dear Malgo,
Though the landscape is really beautiful, I don't think I would ever consider diving in that cold. The only thing I like cold is beer. :)
Best Wishes,
Gy

Piekna seria niebiesko-czarno-bialych zdjec. Jak zawsze, zazdroszcze sniegu.
Niesamowite, ze ludzie w tym miejscu nurkuja, slyszalam o tym, ale az sie wiezyc nie chce...
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hello Malgo,
Wonderful series of pictures from Iceland. I regret I did not go there when I was young. I like your idea of putting together pictures of the same subject, I will use this technique in the future. TFS.
All the bests,

Ciao Malgo
occorre molto coraggio e un pizzico di follia per entrare in acqua con queste condizioni atmosferiche, ma deve essere una sensazione unica.
Eccellente reportage, continui a stupirci.
