We know that Craig likes abandoned objects whatever they are - buildings, ships, planes, car... So here my gift for him - three abandoned houses in Iceland. In fact, any houses that stand alone in snow look abandoned. Who could live there, away from anything?
I made these photos from the car.

Some look more abandoned than others. Perhaps they are used only in the better weather. I am sure Craig would have loved it if you could have taken some pictures inside ;-)

Some great shots of these abandoned houses in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but snow and some hills. All captured in a wonderful soft sunlight.

These houses all look nice in a way, or at least they may have been nice. The one at the bottom still seems to be in a good shape and I wouldn't be surprised if it is less abandoned than it looks like now. There are lots of footprints in the snow, suggesting that people are there now and then. Maybe spiritual cousins of Craig trying to break in.
Well taken pictures from the car and very nice surroundings for all of them.

Un très beau triptyque qui nous montre trois bâtiments que je présume abandonnés pour l'hiver. Ils sont toutefois très beaux dans leur abandon. Les paysages autour sont fantastiques.

The subject seems to be 'cold - colder - coldest'.
But I freely admit that all three photos are wonderful shots. Difficult to have a preference for one of them ... Or or maybe for the one below ... That one has such a wonderful sky.
Indeed, who would like to live there, so far away from everything and everyone? Not me :)
Excellent pictures, certainly to be taken from the car.

You had a good idea to combine the three photos together. The point of view showing the details of the abandoned houses. The reflection of the light on the snow is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Sorry Malgo, I didn't notice this post. thanks for the dedication and photos :) I know you were thinking about me when you took them haha. the first one in the series looks VERY VERY familiar, i'm 99% sure I've seen that one in person. I've been to Iceland too many times hahahaha. The top one is abandoned for sure, the other two i'm not certain...but they at least look like they could be abandoned. I like it :) thanks again
