I've posted a photo of this beautiful waterfall before, but I just couldn't resist to post another. Hopefully you don't mind.

This is a drone photo, which is another reason why I wanted to post this.

You may recognize the waterfall as Seljalandsfoss, one of the most popular in all of Iceland. Its popular not only for its beauty, but also because its so close to the main hwy, and very easy to access. So many of the other waterfalls require driving over rough pot holed roads and long drives...but not this one.

If you look closely you can see people walking around on the bottom left. I can't recall exactly, but i'm probably 500+ feet up in the air here. Now that I think about it, it has to be much higher than that because the waterfall itself is a 200 foot drop.

Hello Craig,

It is amazing what details you can obtain with your drone.
Len hasn't flown his for months but the weather has been so poor, with strong winds.
This photograph explains the scale clearly, the figures looking no bigger than ants.
The topography is shown unlike anything that can be obtained at ground level!
I really like the w/s photograph of the waterfall, probably because it has a diagonal, rather than a horizontal composition.

*** As for cheap flights, or anything cheap - learnt that everything has a price, you buy cheap - you get the bad taste of bad service that last longer after you enjoy the lower price. The picture merely was on another subject altugether. Thanks anyway.

Hello Craig,
Yes, I remember this waterfall, but I don't mind seeing it again. I guess not a lot of photos have been taken from this angle. I'm actually just as fascinated by the water winding its way across the relatively plain area as by the look of it suddenly falling straight down. There are two tiny waterfalls just next to the large one where the water seems to be coming from nowhere. What a strange place Iceland is.
Thanks for commenting my latest picture. Reflections in puddles were not yet invented in 1971. They came with TE in the 2000's. ;-)

Hello Craig, the vivid green makes this stand out in the thumbnails, it has to be Iceland.
No apologies from you needed, personally I never tire of seeing views from here.
I am glad that you mentioned the people, they are SO tiny in this amazing landscape.

Craig, a magnificent waterfall is flowing from a plateau. The drone photo helps to understand what is located around. I like the tundra lemon green color. Wonderful natural spot to discover. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

This landscape is well worth for another aerial photo. I didn't remember there's smaller fall on the left of the main one. Shadow of the cliff adds good contrast.

Your exquisite exposure is the best part of this shot aside from the obvious breathtaking beauty of this place and that's one impressive looking waterfall! This is enhanced by great drone-point-of-view, subtle contrast and the inclusion of the tiny bridge does allow one to appreciate the scale here. Terrific capture to say the least,,,,

An amazing bird's eye perspective, which shows the contrast between the shaded cliffs and the brightly sunlit green field so well. The water and the narrow river form a wonderful silver line through it as well. Great work.

It's always amazing to see landscapes like this taken by drone. We get an overall sense of space, while also being able to see how tiny the people look compared the nature around them. Seeing the falls from this POV is great.
