Photographer's Note

Here is another typical classic Icelandic scene that you'll find when you drive and explore the rural areas of the country.

I'm driving near the town of Thingeyri, in the north western regions, far away from any real city or supermarket.

If you've never been to Iceland, these are the memories you will remember. Driving long distances, not seeing a passing car for hours, you feel completely isolated, yet you'll find a Church along the Ocean's edge. Its just so beautiful.

I have so many of these type of shots on my laptop, but I've never given much thought of posting them on TE, but now i'm changing my mind.

Every country has its 'feel', its culture, its impact that will remain with you even when you're back home...and for me, these are one of those feelings & visuals that come to mind when I try to explain to someone what it's like exploring Iceland.
