Photographer's Note
Ealy morning in Iceland in January - 9.40 a.m.
This is the view of the villa in which we were staying. As you can see on the map here:
64.439476,-21.620737
in the middle of nowhere. Since then I haven't seen the snow. It was difficult to move around by car. sometimes we had to leave the car below and then to go on foot. But the main problem was the strong wind. One day we couldn't go anywhere because the cars were stuck just after a few minutes and we had to call the plough.
Near this smaller hut, there was an open-air jacuzzi and in the evening we could have a bath there, surrounded by snow. We sat in the water with the caps on heads and had a lot of fun.
But the main attraction, worth all the troubles was the night view.

Hello Malgo, the warm glow from the villa is a very welcoming sight and an excellent focal point as we follow the snow covered path. The clear blue morning sky makes this feel even cooler.
In the workshop, the Northern Lights picture could have been a main post. The green colour gives quite an eerie feel to the scene, yet very beautiful.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Malgo,
The Google map doesn't even show a road to this place, but I can't imagine you were that completely isolated. It looks like a nice place, and there was considerably more snow than in southern Sweden right now. The very little we received on Christmas Day disappeared on Boxing Day, just as expected.
The very clear light makes this the nicest of the three photos, but the Northern light is more spectacular.
Kind regards,
Gert
PS I have refueled my time machine and will start on a new, completely Corona safe journey tomorrow.

Hello Malgo,
I really like the deep blue colours around all the snow which surrounds the building. The composition is well balanced and the path leads nicely towards the entrance. Well captured.

Dear Malgo,
A nice postcard with an inviting cosy guesthouse. Of course taking photos is important, but than having a bath in the Jacuzzi is even more important.
Best Wishes,

Hi Malgo,
I appreciate the snow covering the path and the buildings. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings. The reflection of the light on the snow has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
The northern lights remind me of some fantastic movie.
Your daytime pictures all have a beautiful light and show very beautiful winter scenes.
But what I read in your note makes me shiver from the cold.
Best regards, Paul

Oi Malgo
Parece até um cartão de Natal. Belas cores e luzes nesta beleza de composição. Eu nunca enfrentei um frio assim. Eu nem tenho as roupas adequadas e teria que renovar meu guarda-roupa (hehe..).

Hi Malgo
What a great winter scene! The effort must have been worth it to see the Northern Lights shown in the WS.
And where is this "exotic" location that you are about to head off to, given that so many such locations have closed borders at present.
cheers

The Jacuzzi sounds fun in the snow and with a log fire burning waiting for your return in the hut. The sky looks incredibly clear, sounds like a great trip.

Hello Malgo,
It looks like we can hardly get past all the snow to go back inside the villa. :-) I can the warm glow of lights from inside, and it must be very cozy. You were lucky to be able to see and capture the famous Northern Lights. They are beautiful. Wishing you all the est in the new year!

Hi Malgorzata
Beautiful looking place, yes bitter snow cold beautified by lovely low sun light, superb clarity, standout colour and contrast. That's an extraordinary location nicely taken and shared with us. Great composition.

Hello Malgo,
Too much snow is almost as bad as no snow at all. The warm yellow and red lighting in the interior of this building are welcoming in such an Arctic environment. Good sharpness and framing too. Tfs!

Czesc Malgosiu
Piekne zdjecie, kolory sa po prostu niesamowite, te pastele od rozu po blekit z akcentami wyrazistej czerwieni. No i te czapy sniegu, kiedy ja ostatni raz widzialam takie zaspy? Moze w Rumunii, w styczniu 2013!
Kierowca pluga snieznego, ktory wczesnym rankiem sprzatal parking, przezyl chyba niezly szok, kiedy z jedynego tam, pokrytego sniegiem samochodu, wynurzyla sie okutana moja postac. :-D
Pozdrawiam serdecznie i zycze udanej podrozy!
Kasia
