Photographer's Note
"Bared Ruined Choirs, where late the sweet birds sang" A shot of the ruins of the cloistures of Cong Abbey. The Augustinian Abbey at Cong was founded in the early 12th century by Turlough O’Connor, was built on the site of a 6th century church. It features some very fine examples of stone carvings, as well as a cloister.
The Abbey , which was endowed and supported by royal families of this era, is considered to be one of the finest examples of early architecture in Ireland.
The Abbey was suppressed in the reign of Henry VIII of England in 1542. The Abbey served many purposes including, a hospital for the sick, shelter for the poor and starving as well as being a place of learning for thousands of scholars.

good POV and DOF, useful note. nicely contrasting grey stones and green grass and trees. postprocessing of the sky area too visible. I think also you lost some sharpness with downsizing

You chose the POV very well, providing an excellent view for us.Photo is well composed, and the soft green colors go well with the ancient grey.
But what is all this post processing behind the trees about? Whatever you have tried to do, it looks like unfinished busniess. Maybe you could let us see the original version?
