Photographer's Note
Trim Castle, where a significant portion of Braveheart was filmed, with the river Boyne in the foreground. The river Boyne has a significant place in Irish history as it was where King James, the Catholic king, was defeated by William of Orange in The Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
On the left hand side of the picture are controversial new appartments. Initially the local people thought their scale would not fit the location. Now everyone is pleased with how they blend in with the surroundings.
I used perspective control in PS to straighten the edges because they were skewed by the severe wide angle lens.

Hi Danny,
excellent shot and superb rendering of colours. The sky is beautiful in its dramaticity and the composition with the castle that's reflecting in the river is just great.

The sky captured first my attention. It is fantastic how the clouds in the background are like exploding. Nice reflections on water and a perfect job with the perspective.

Hi Danny this is a very beautiful postcard of this beautiful country, which is Ireland. The composition is perfect and the exposure, which offers a splendid sky to us, too.
Superb work, congratulation.

I would prefer it without the appartments, but I have to admit that they don't intervene that much with the landscape.
That's a nice shot, with good compo, colours and sky.
Well done!

Lovely weather - you lucky photographer :-).
And an excellent composition - enhanced by the interesting cloudscape.
A beautiful image - I find the frame is a little OTT for TE, but pleasing otherwise.

Great composition Danny, What a sky !!! Could I have such one only one time here in Belgium. I like the balance of this image. A building at each side and the bell tower above that answers to the beautiful yellow flowers.
Very great work

Hi! Danny,
This is the best time of the year for landscape photography in Ireland as you truly get 40+ shades of green and the skies are so volatile in their showery mode. This is a perfect capture of springtime in Ireland and a lovely composition. The yellow plant gives great contrast to the sky and is the key to the success of this scene. Well done again Danny!
Mike.
