Photographer's Note
Driving around Ireland my favorite things were always the unexpected. These castle ruins were one example. I belvie it was located near Lismore. We just happened on it. So I walked around and knocked off a couple nice shots.
This is a scan of a 15-year old negative. Im this case it held up pretty well. Let's hear it for Kodak! (My most degraded stuff was shot on cheap Eastern European film that wasn't developed with the right color compensation in the first place. But they have degraded even further. My Kodak film held up much better.)
Straight out of the scan. No PP whatsoever.

Hello Mike,
Nice composition, the black shadow make a beautiful frame around this tower and old building.
Well done

Beautiful shot. I swear, I've been there! Or do all these old cathedrals look the same? Regardless, I appreciate the shot because it seems to capture the 'majestic ruin' of what must have once been even more breaktaking.

Well seen and done

Hi Mike, love the way you use the arch to frame the castle and the stark contrast of the picture. Thanks for sharing!
