Photographer's Note
It was fun see these wrecks so close to city center of Galway. I have no idea they were left there. The walk was not long as it started raining and I spend most of my time in pubs. The title comes from that row of houses that really are on the street called The Long Walk.

Hi Kari, not a lucky day for the weather but enough to take a very nice pic like that and to spending time in pubs. In fact it's curious to see this boat cemetery very close to the main turistic walk of Galway, the perspective and the quality are perfect despite the dark light. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Helo Kari,
What did I say? Finland won. Congratulations.
The remains of what used to be boats create an original foreground, and I always like photos with a difference. The background show us a more typical view of very nice and colourful houses. I have vague memories of Galway, but I know I spent a long evening at a pub drinking far too many pints of Guinness. I was only 21 and didn't understand any better.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Kari,
I remember that long row of low, but colourful houses as well. You combined them very nicely with the old wrecks in the foreground here. Well spotted and composed.

Hi Kari
A good photo in 2 parts - the great collection of wrecks in the foreground and the immaculate and very neat row of houses in the background.
cheers

Hello Kari, a picture of contrasts with the boats abandoned on the harbour side, not too far away from the Long Row of colourful and well cared for houses.
The rather grey day adds to the mood of the scene.
Excellent sharpness.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Kari, these houses in the background and the boats remind me the view of Portree in Scotland. nice picture. In this cloudy weather it looks a bit sad.

Hello Kari.
The name of the street is appropriate, with that long row of houses facing the sea, ideal for their varied colors, these boats that we see in the foreground give the town a good marine touch.
Great sharpness and very good lighting and color
Well done; have a nice day
Best regards.
Luis.

Hi Kari,
it does look like a long walk :)
The typical Irosh weather well collected. The grey skies didn't stop you from recording a colorful scene. Yes Galway is probably the most colorful town in Ireland.
The foreground very photogenic. Maybe it shows that in the past Ireland was relying on fishing but now they are too rich and it is not worth to do it anymore...
Great work,
M
