Photographer's Note
this is the killilagh church cemetary in doolin. doolin is a small town on the west coast of ireland just a few miles from the cliffs of moher. it's a beautiful little town that is famous for it's pubs and traditional irish music. the church (not shown) dates back to the 15th century. it is said that in 1645 cromwellian forces burned the roofs of many churches in this area. after the church was no longer used as place of worship, it was turned into a burial ground, the earliest grave dating back to 1860.
for the time of year that i visited, the weather was pretty mild and the sun peeked out every so often. doolin was exactly what you picture ireland to be with rolling green hills and the guinness flowing freely. lovely!
