Emilia countryside around my parents' house.

The Consortium of Bonifica is an institution of Italian public law responsible for the operation and maintenance of public works and is so called (Bonifica) because it converted a land full of swamps (and relative diseases) in a tillable one full of great and little channels (like this one) for irrigation (or other use).

There are several Consortiums in Emilia, each related to the others for a better management of the availability of the water provided by the several rivers (in this zone Po, Secchia and Panaro).

Sometimes children use to bath here (as I've done too) but it is dangerous, more if the channel is larger of this one.

The several Bonificas began in the XVIII century, in separate way, but between 1900 and 1930 grew up the Consortiums, that were more regulated and supported with money.
So the agricolture in this land increased in quantity and quality and Emila became the fantastic garden that now is....

Bonjour Camilla,

Il faut se lever tôt pour faire une aussi belle phot. Le lever de soleil est impressionnant et haut en couleurs et la maison sur la droite apporte une belle ligne de fuite.

Grande sovrapposizione di rosso rosato. Se fosse più rosso sembrerebbe come se il mondo stava sanguinando. Riflessioni belle sia in acqua e le riflessioni più sottili sulle finestre. I migliori auguri per il nuovo anno. Klaudio.

Ciao Camilla,un risveglio di buon mattino che ha pagato l'occhio,avrai preso un po' di freddo su questo prato brinato ma ne e' valsa davvero la pena. Le luci,i colori e l'atmosfera sono davvero unici,fantastico il canale praticamente rosso. Buona giornata e complimenti,Luciano

una foto di grande atmosfera grazie anche al tramonto che colora il cielo, l'acqua del canale e i vetri della casa.
Bellissimi gli argini con la brina.
Voglio anche essere un po' cattivo (anche se non lo meriti), ma avrei tagliato la foto in modo da far sparire l'antenna.

there are three things that stand out most for me.
the colour reflections in the water, and on the glass, along with the frozen frost on the grass.
