Renaissance sky, a photo from Florence, Tuscany

Photographer's Note

Florence (Firenze in Italian) is the cradle of renaissance and a city full of history, art and culture. You can see clearly the signs of one of the most important historical periods, not only for Italy, but for the whole world, almost everywhere. In the photo you can see, in the left part the bridges of river Arno (among them the famous Ponte Vecchio-Old Bridge, with the beautiful jewelry shops in her both sides), in the middle the Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace)with the 94m high Torre d' Andolfo and on the right part the magnificent Cathedral, the Duomo, with the outstanding, enourmous dome by Brunelleschi (you can reach to its top climbing some 360 steps, but the panoramic view is absolutely rewarding) and the 82m high Campanile, built by Giotto, another great spot for panoramic views. The other option you have for a panoramic view is from the area of Oltrarno (Beyond Arno)and especially the Piazzale Michelangelo, from where this photo is taken.

I think you could crop the bottom just a bit, to make
the composition better (not so symmetrical)

Εξαιρετικά καλοτραβηγμένη και στημένη εντυπωσιακή φωτογραφία της όμορφης Φλωρεντίας. Τα χρώματα απαλά και ο φωτισμός υπέροχος. Υπέροχος επίσης και ο ουρανός. Άλλο ένα διαμάντι! Μπράβο σου!

ΥΣ: Δεν θα σου πω πόσο σε "μισώ" που δουλεύεις ταξιδεύοντας σε τόσο όμορφα μέρη! :)
ΥΣ2: Στο τελευταίο τεύχος είδα το DVD για την Ζάκυνθο (μιας και θα πάω στις 9/8 εκεί) και μου φάνηκε "λειψό" :(

Ετσι και αλλιως ειναι μια πολυ ωραια νυχτερινη φωτογραφια,με τετοιο ουρανο ομως η συνθεση σου γινεται εξαιρετικη.Ωραια χρωματα και φωτισμος.Πολυ καλη Ηρακλη!

Hola Hercules,
Florencia es una ciudad bellísima, llena de historia, y tu foto la capta con toda su belleza y en un momento mágico de luz y color.
Esta imagen fantástica durante la puesta de sol nos ofrece una explosión de color en el cielo, con unos tonos azules que van cambiando a los naranjas y rojos que me encanta.
La ciudad con su iluminación también resulta muy bella, y la sinuosidad del Arno nos lleva la mirada muy lejos, hacia el horizonte.
Es una foto preciosa, amigo mío.

Like a painting from those fabulous artists of Firenze, this sky is great to watch! Nice architecture to watch all over the photo, allied to a great atmosphere. I like the diagonal line of lights surrounding the river and it's reflections on it.

This is a classic scene you have captured from Piazzale Michelangelo. The scene allows us to see the big three: Ponte Vecchio, The Duomo and the Vecchio Palace. The glowing light is good and the light trails along the river lead the eye in well. Great shot.

Al ver tu foto me acuerdo de cuando visité esta preciosa ciudad italiana, mi estancia fue tan breve que no puede apreciar su belleza nocturna, aunque gracias a tu imagen me hago una idea de como es. Tiene una luz especial y el juego de contrastes es de una gran intensidad. Me encanta el color del cielo. ¡Buen trabajo!
