There are actually 5 statues here but one is hidden behind another. I might add a workshop later showing the full circle. And the blue winged angel in front of the Verona Cathedral. The interior is very impressive.

Hello Chris,
It's not an uninteresting or unattractive monument, but it's rather strange. It looks like the young girls, doing some gymnastics, are being dragged down by quicksand. The photo is well taken but some information about why the girls look like this and what they are doing here would have been fun.

Hello Chris,

Presumably, these girls represent swimmers, possibly synchronised swimmers.
It is an elegant piece of art and will certainly make people stop and consider it!
Both photographs of them are sharp and well composed.
The one of the blue angel has great impact and could have been a main post in its own right.

Three nice pictures, always difficult to, make a choose for the best if main picture.
According to me are all three the value of a main picture.

Hello Chris, I think that the girls would have looked more impressive if they had been placed in a pool of water, maybe with a fountain! Outside the cathedral seems a strange place for them.
A good sharp shot.
We visited Verona briefly, but cannot remember the cathedral at all.

Hi Chris,
Interesting way to present these girls, as if they were standing in water. Use of blue tones makes this special. Wrinkles on swimsuits are something out of the ordinary too.

Les statues sont bien placées dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des statues. La lumière donne un bon rendu aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

hello Chris, Verona is my favourite Italian city, there is so much to see there. I recognize the griffons and the wonderful columns of the cathedral (see https://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=7&p=1138224).
I suppose that these girls are there temporary. It is quite a funny sculpture, but for me, it doesn't fit there.

Hi Chris,
Quite an interesting collection of statues in front of the entrance to the cathedral.
I was surprised to see the cloudy weather and people are wearing jackets, but it was October indeed.
So maybe October is not such a good time to visit. It is an important information for me because I considered trip to Northern Italy in the October half term break,

when I was there these sculptures weren't in front the church. I presume it a temporary exposition. nice artworks so well photographed by you.

Yes, Chris, there are 5 statues, almost identical's - but each is different.
Those were probably placed there later than 2012 when we were thare for the last time. The Google-Map virtual tour from this spot doe's not show the 5 "girls" only the wings angel statue.
