Photographer's Note

This is the Ponte Pietra (stone bridge) in Verona it spans the Adige River and was first constructed in 100 BC. It has been desroyed and rebuilt a number of times. Its last desruction was by the Germans in WW2 and once again rebuilt.

Incredible the stone bridges are better than the new concreet bridges.
WW II has much bridges destroyed.
Wonderful panorama with the city in background.
Nice composition, excellent sharp and clear.

I hope you found both the old Roman amphitheatre and the Museum located almost directly behind the vantage point depicted here. I like the wide angled panoramic view of the city. Tfs!

Hello David, once again your picture looks wonderful in the enlarged version.
The clouds give the scene a certain mood.
Your point of view with the bridge straddling the river is excellent, and the various towers are nicely spaced.
