Hi David,
Nice shot! I like the subdued tones in the background and even if I'm not a big fan of filters, here I feel it suits the mood.
I think I would have cloned out the bit of crane on the left though...

an excellent shot from Venice. I like the beatiful composition, fine balance and elegant ! The haze and the blurred architecture in the background enchances the mood of the picture. Very well done !

Excellent shot! I love the DOF this photo, the BG looks watermarked at all! Nice contrast and remarkable sharpness and focus! I liked how the lamp posts are positioned, great composition!
