Photographer's Note

After a very dry and warm spring and summer (believe it or not), here in Bergen, we`ve had a quite wet septemnber so far. Then it`s good to have memories in the archive to look back too. This is a quiet night in Venice back in 2013. Really fascinating to watch the traffic on the canal and the wonderful architecture.

An amazing blue hour photo from Venice. The sharpness and clarity are incredible and I love the warm glow of the many lights along the water. Very well captured and composed.

At any hour of a day, Venezia is an intriguing and a small heaven for photographers.
The row of lamp-posts along the canal, fully illuminating had created a dividing line from sea to sky.

Jag säger som Lars att detta är en otroligt skarp och klar bild från den blå timmen och att ljusen speglas väldigt vackert i den mörka kanalen. Venedig är som det alltid har varit, en ofattbart vacker stad. På det här avståndet och i halvmörkret ser man inte alla turister. ;-)
I morgon åker jag också till Italien, fast längst ner, till Sicilien. Det är nog mycket turister där också.

quelle compo nocturne et vue quel rendu sur le plan d'eau dout en doucuer et toutes ces belles lumirèes ces reflets sur l'eau et quel décor de coupole de clochers ces lumières comme des étoiles charmant port et fantastique image.

Hello Erling, we do not often see scenes of Venice at night, so this interesting.
The water is very still and catches the warm glow of the street lights.
There is still enough light for us to be able to recognise some of the buildings.

What a splendid blue hour shot of Venice and the fantastic Canal Grande.

There are just some shots and scenes that HAVE to be captured right? this is certainly one of them. Good to hear the rain was away in the summer, but i'm sure the rainy season it hitting Bergen soon - just as it is here in "raincouver" as us locals call it. Our winters are 95% rain. Anyways, lovely shot here, the sky is A+, love the huge dome that seems like some sort of alien ship dominating the skyline. smart looking clouds and water too. nice one

Linda foto noturna dos famosos canais de Veneza! A cidade iluminada entre azul do céu e da água, de tons bem parecidos, resultou em uma composição interessante. Bom contraste e nitidez. A água possui uma linda textura, como se fosse uma tinta.
