Pierre, these old walls testify the baths grandeur in the Antiquity. They are eroded by the bad weather but still very strong. A fascinating historical site to discover. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Ha! Ha! Pierre, I love your notes - We were taking a stroll in the city. It sounds as if you were off to the baths!

Isn't this remarkable, that after so many centuries there is so much of the bathhouse still visible.
You would imagine that it would be an easy source of stone for new building projects but Rome's history is so very well preserved. You have shown us the ruins with excellent details and very natural colours.

Missed this one. The 2 ruined towers either side add symmetry to the composition. Good sharpness and I like the warm cold colour contrast between the reddish yellow tinted stone and the blue grey sky. Tfs!

Imposants thermes de Caracalla. Ces ruines laissent libre cours à l’imagination quant à l’utilisation de ces bains luxueux aux temps des Romains.
$Aujourd’hui c’est un bel endroit de promenade où l’on peut flaner et méditer en paix, sur les pelouses verdoyantes à travers les arches majestueuses.
