Photographer's Note
A section of the display within Verona archaeological museum. These are some old tile mosaics from the Roman era. Here's a wider angled view of the interior.

Chris, these Roman mosaics on the floor and on a wall represent an amphora, rosaces and daily life scenes from the past with gladiators. This remarkable artwork has crossed the ages, it is still in good condition. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Bojour Chris,
Juste imaginer le temps et le travail pour faire d'aussi belles mosaiques avec les outils de l'époque donne mal à la tête. Elles ont bien passé à travers les siècles.
Amicalement

Hello Chris,
Those mosaics are so beautiful, truly amazing that they survived all these centuries and still look so good. You captured them with excellent lighting and sharpness. I really like the yellow parts a lot, they stand out well.

Helo Chris, I haven't been to the Verona Museum and it seemed to me that I saw all :(. Nice mosaic showing the athletes.
You haven't travelled for a long time. Why?
Kind regards MAlgo

Hello Chris,
Besides creating buildings to last, the Romans also had great artists.
It would have been so much easier to have square mosaics, which would have tessellated without trouble but ... here we have circular mosaics!
You have captured this art really well, displaying the horizontal and the vertical in a fine composition.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Museum interior displays are not always easy to capture, but you have managed it perfectly here !
Neat compostion with great sharpness. I love the details of the tiny mosaics, and their subtle bi-chrome colours.
Kind regards.
Marie-Louise.

Hello Chris,
Nice depiction of these mosaics. I wonder why they cover the missing pieces with plaster rather than trying to repair the mosaic. Or at least they could paint the plaster subtly with the design they think should go there. 👍🏻👍🏻
Regards,
MT
