Lago di Braies (Pragser Wildsee)

The largest natural lake in the Dolomites
In summer, lake Lago di Braies in South Tyrol reflects colours in all shades from green to blue, in winter Lago di Braies is covered with ice and snow. In winter and summer this jewel is the starting point for hikes, ski tours, snowshoe hikes and walks.

According to legend, once upon a time savages dug in the mountains for gold and precious stones. The local herdsmen were jealous and tried to steal the treasures collected by the savages. They were unsuccessful because the savages opened up an underground spring and sunk their treasures in the lake this spring created.

Janusz, the water is so clean and transparent here. A dense forest grows on the slopes surrounding the lake. The wooden barques can be rented, they represent the best way to appreciate this natural beauty. Fine colors, good sharpness, regards.

Hello Janusz,
A very nice view in bright sunshine of the calm and clear water of the lake. The forest and rocky slopes make a great backdrop as well and the rowing boats are well placed in the foreground.

This is beautiful and reminds me of Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. The red boat contrast well with the green cyan water. Good sharpness and framing. Tfs!

A restful lake view captured from a good point of view in this calm setting with inviting pristine turquoise water blending together in lovely fashion. I love placement of the boats as fg base and focal to the frame, but there's slight overexposed on the brightest parts causing a tad distraction imho. That's the only drawback which can be addressed easily. A beautiful place for relaxation, well taken. Congrats
