Finally spring has exploded and many butterflies have also returned to fly, it is the best season to photograph them because they have recently been born and show intact and colorful wings. Today I show you a male of Lycaena tityrus, a very common species, especially in central and southern Europe. In the WS the upper part of the wings. Photo taken in the park of Villa Annoni in my village.

Finalmente la primavera è esplosa ed anche molte farfalle sono tornate a volare, è la stagione migliore per fotografarle perche' nate da poco e mostrano ali intatte e ricche di colori. Oggi vi mostro un maschio di Lycaena tityrus, una specie molto comune, specialmente nell'Europa centrale e meridionale. Nel WS la parte superiore delle ali. Foto scattata nel parco di Villa Annoni nel mio villaggio.

Bonsoir Luciano,

L'insecte est bien placé dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du papillon Lycaena tityrus. La lumière donne un bon rendu aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne soirée.

The best season for butterflies is the best season for you. This is a beautiful photo, not least because you found this butterfly sitting on a perfectly matching plant. The very shallow dof has created a feeling of having the butterfly very close to us while the blurred background is very far away.

Your butterfly 'Mojo' is back , how lovely :-)
So, this is your 'old' friend you bumped into ... newborn this year, I must admit , he does look very 'springy and chirpy' and very handsome.
Look at those wings ... beautiful shapes and the dots are matching to the eye and antennae , to admire the sexy full-body - the WS is definitely worth looking at.
I see that this park is your favourite spot to meet your 'fellow friends' with wings , mostly.
But not all as delicate as this one :-)

Two very impressive and amazingly sharp images of this butterfly. The amount of details is fantastic. The main shot is a superb example of a photo of a butterfly in its environment with the background blur just perfect to showcase the main subject and still show the trees in the park. The colours are lovely too.

The colours of the wings differ somewhat depending on whether we look at the butterfly from above or below.
Good choice for your main picture.
The picture is even more beautiful with the flower.

I have to admit, I am just a little envious that you have such beautiful butterflies to photograph so early in the year. I saw a couple of Tortoise Shells, mid March, when it was warmer, but nothing since!!
This is a super, close-up of the butterfly, showing wonderful details of its body and the patterns on its wings.
It looks to be posing just for you!

What a great composition, not only a lovely picture of the butterfly but also captured in such incredible circumstances.
I like also a perspective slightly from below, which makes us feel like we are one of the insects on the meadow.

Yes I am sure a lot has changed since your trip to Boa Vista. I just returned and will be busy at work so I probably won't be able to prepare the photos very fast this time.
