Crucifixion - Church of San Francesco - Giano dell'Umbria (PG)

A small door located to the right of the altar machine leads to a rectangular room, which is what remains of the ancient apse.
The apse wall is decorated with well-made 14th century frescoes, the work of an unknown painter of the Spoleto school who remembers the Master of Fossa.
On the left wall, at the top there are frescoes of San Francesco and the Madonna del Latte, at the bottom left the client and his wife kneeling, as usual depicted in smaller dimensions. The writing shows the name of the client.
Bottom right Santa Lucia.
In the center a window, on the conch are depicted, on the sides, St. Michael the Archangel and St. Nicholas of Bari, the refinement of the execution suggests an almost certain attribution to the Maestro di Fossa.
On the right a Crucifixion with Christ between the Madonna and San Giovanni Evangelista, the inscription shows the name of the client.
Bottom left Santa Caterina.
