Summer day in Bastejkalna ParkrnrnBastejkalns or Bastion Hill in English is a nice and quiet park in the very center of Riga. This park is named after the Bastion Hill (Bastejkalns) that is situated inside it. It is a beautiful park to visit and walk around. There are many lovely little bridges, flower beds, and benches to sit on. There is also a canal going across it, which makes for a perfect relaxing walk next to the water. Moreover, it is possible to rent a small boat and have a boat ride across the canal here. Some of the things to see in the park include a bridge with hundreds of locks placed there by lovers to pledge their attachment to each other and a memorial to the victims killed by Soviet Troops in 1991

Hello Piotr,
A pleasant view from the park with nice and well exposed contrasts of sunny and shady areas. I like the curving road and the two couples. One pair prefer to enjoy the sun on a bench, while the other look like they may be testing the temperature of the water. You found a good position from where the trees seem to form av roof above the road.

Some would complain about the darkness of the shadows but that is the point of your photo to me - the summer time shade. A good one.

Sympatyczne letnie zdjęcie. Duzo udało Ci sie zwiedzić w Rydze. Fajne miejsce, żeby się zrelaksować. Ja raczej zawsze gdzies gonię.

Piotr, this park forms a green lung in Riga. The city dwellers like coming here to breath, relax and walk in the forest paths. Fine colors, good sharpness, instructive photo note, regards.
