From the Pfaffenthal Elevator

This is a photo of the Luxembourg quarter of Pfaffenthal, located in a valley on both sides of the river Alzette. The quarter has been connected to the city centre by a panoramic elevator since 2016, the photo was taken from the top of the elevator, looking down at Pfaffenthal from a height of 60 metres.

Hallo Lars,
Dit is een zicht dat ik zelf nooit gehad heb. Evenmin al op foto gezien.
Je lijkt je echt wel heel wat hoger dan de kerktoren en de daken te bevinden.
Prachtig bovenzicht van deze wijk. Mooi met de groene rand bovenaan.

Hello Lars, Excellent view from the top of the elevator, like taken by the drone. I found Luxembourg a fascinating place, it is so much to see.
I compared this view with my picture here: https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Europe/Luxembourg/South/Luxembourg//photo1530555.htm. I was down there, on the left side of the church, along the river.

The wideness of the area is creating depth. The point of view is showing the details of the buildings and of the church. The light is giving nice tints to the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

You are so high up that the people look like ants, they are so tiny.
There is a lovely variety of buildings in many different styles.

yes, great to see these views which we do not usually see from Lux. it looks higher than 180 feet. glad you were able to include the train bridge with the arches in the top right.

At a glance I thought this is a picture of 'Madurodam' :-)
Anyway, a fantastic view of this 'miniature' city view from the Pfaffenthal Elevator.
I do find the Elevator itself , is more interesting.
I always wanted to go to this city and it's not far from Holland too.
After I've seeing all the pictures from you ... who knows, you might encourage me to see this city with my own eyes :-)

From this height the town looks like a scale model. The real bg trees convince us the village is in fact real. Models have a hard time getting trees right for some reason. A terrific view with perfect sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Lars,
this is the aspect of Luxembourg which I remember very well: the fact that it is located on two levels and it offers opportunities for original compositions either looking down into the old town from so many angles or having two levels visible while photographing from the ground floor.
Great angle here it feels almost as if you were hanging in the air.
