Photographer's Note
This is an old picture, I've taken it about ten years ago and the quality is not very good because it's scanned from a printed photo.
I upload it because I like to show you this strange place (unfortunately I don't remember the name), you can see the architecture is very unusual infact it was the set of a movie and then they leave it there and it became an attraction for tourists with restourant, snack bar...hope you like it.

When I saw your picture without reading the note, I thought, it could be a set for a movie...but it IS !
I would like to walk around here, I think there are so many nice details to photograph.
Nice to see this, Alessandra, in spite of an "old" picture !

It is a very interesting scene. I'm afraid I don't know all that much about this place, so I don't know its name or how it look nowadays. It's still a very good photo, very well composed.

What a good idea, they must made the houses really well for them to survive. Very good TE shot and note.

Ciao Alessandra,
very nice view, it really looks like in a fairy tale! I just was thinking if cropping a little at the bottom would be ok. I did a ws, hope you don't mind.

buono giorno Signorina...
cool shot of this unusual place....
you've made me curious wich movie they've shot here and this is what i found:
"sweethaven village the film set of the 1980 musical production also known as Popeye Village built and constructed in anchor bay at the end of 1979"
so i quess they only serve spinach at the retaurant ;)
tanti saluti...

I like the colors in this shot. And the town is interesting. As soon as I saw it I too recognized it as the set of Popeye. The town set itself has a real New England/England kind of little sea port look to it that is really exaggerated for the film. It probably is quite a strange site to see on the coast of Malta. I also remember how drab and ugly I thought the movie set was but in your photo the colors and buildings come across as much more attractive. I mean much more. I can actually enjoy looking at it now. :) The image itself is very soft. It seems difficult to focus but that's just a small thing some sharpening can fix. Nice job photographing this "curiosity" on the Maltese coast.

Great shot. Great place.
I hope it is a bit sharper. Also, I would crop this tighter on top to eliminate the sky.

Quite a unique spot, Ale, I instantly suspected "movie set" and found confirmation in your note. Already 10 years ago, you made a good composition here with the shoreline curving through the frame, the distinctive array of buildings below the rock making a fun pattern, and it looks like you did some good post-work to bring out the colors and contrast really well. Think I agree with Manny's cropping suggestion. Very nice photo, thanks for sharing this "old" work ;-)

Bellissima picture, Alessendra! It's true those houses are very strange and it's very nice. You managed also to have a good picture by scanning the printed photo. Very well done!

Une photo qui date de 1994, c'est une réussite Alessandra. Etrange village en effet, nous avons l'impression d'être transportés dans un autre temps, une sorte de troisième dimension.
J'aime beaucoup.
Belle réalisation.

Very well captured Alessandra - this strange village somehow seams too good to be true - On one hand seams it the a fine "modern" place and on the other hand theres no signs, commercial etc. ;-) this can only be found in a movie - thanks for sharing you "old" and fine work :-)

When I first looked at this picture, Alessandra, I thought it was a model. Then I realized that it's an abandoned movie set and that it's still there to be visited. This is wonderful and really TE! A friend of mine is going to Malta in two weeks, I'll recommend this place to her. You did a nice composition of the scene, but it could do with some cropping and sharpening. I know it's been done, but I'll try a WS too. Nice job - well done!

really makes me want to live there. i don't agree with manny, dought -- the sky is ok, it creates the ideea of seclusion.
Good one, too bad it's old.

Interesting, how this houses look beautiful but in the same moment somehow unreal. I can't say what makes me think that. Nevertheless a very good composition with this wonderfully colored water and the boats in the foreground.

This is not a real place, it's just a small tv-model. I'm surprised that no one has noticed that, are you blind?!
