Photographer's Note
The walk ascending 1 kilometer from the town makes you feel as if you've found Europe's version of the Great Wall of China. This church lies half way up the wall, which leads to the ruins to the fortress. Great views even in poor weather since you are following the original wall structure which often twists off into a dead end on an interesting ledge.
The old town of Kotor is the mini-ghost version of Dubrovnik. Going from one to the other is a culture shock - both amazing walled cities, but there are little tourists here. Montengro make break off from Serbia soon - they will vote on independance in Feburary 2006.

Hi Dan :)
Beautiful photo. I like the colours and the composition. How you placed the accent on the church tower, and the background is full of interesting details like the mountains and the city.

Nice shot, Dan, full of great detail and color. I'd like to see more of this area of Europe.

Hi Dan,
You have selected a good POV and the composition is great too. It does have some resemblance of the great wall and you have effectively used it as an entry point. The distant houses complimented the church beautifully. Well captured! Regards.

Hi dan,
Beautiful view over this village. Each time I see a photogrpah from Serbie or Crotia, I must say that this is really nice.
Once again, congrats.

Great view on the village and very well composed with the stone wall leading to the church and the village and surroundings.
Good shot, Dan !

Nice view of the city. The wall leads well the eye to the ruins. Composition is good, and perhaps could be better if you had some more to the left and top. Any way, good catch

Hi Dan,
Very nice view from this overlooking PoV; I like how the wall takes my eye to make it discover the scenery, this place looks great. Framed a bit wider to the left this already nice view would be even more enjoyable I think.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Of all the photos you have posted recently this one has the greates and most impressive depth, both in the thumbnail and up large. It is very cleverly taken and presented, with just an edge of sky but so much more hillside town and mountains.A multilayered little gem.

The church, the bell tower, the village and the water, everything seems to balance each other.
A good shot even with a bad light condition, with an interesting POV.
Only a bit larger image on the left to avoid cropping the end of the land going towards water.
Bye
Stefano
