On the right the river IJ, the big river of Amsterdam and its important connection to the sea, continued further with the Noorzeekanaal ((Northsea-canal) to IJmuiden on the coast. On the left you see Central Station. The situation is changing every months this period because of the metro-constructions under C.S. and its new tunnel under the river tot the other side of the city: Amsterdam-Noord (North).
