When sun shines throught water pearls, a photo from Utrecht, Zuid

This is another of my favourite close up photos. As I already said previously... One of the things I enjoy the most about digital camera is its ability to get in close to small objects and take some stunning photos. One of the advantages of doing Macro Photography in the digital format is that you can review your shots as you go and make small adjustments depending upon the results you're getting. More and more digital cameras are coming with Macro Photography modes enabling you to shoot from very close distances - in addition to this is a growing number of accessories and lens attachments that enable even the basic compact digital camera to get in close and personal"

To get this result I was using tripod and simply playing with drops of water till I got something like this. Little stars you see there are reflection of light coming form spring sun in evening.

Great macro Lucie. I wonder how many trials before you got this right (the dripping water). Other thing that interests me is the star-shaped light reflection.

After having viewed your water pearls as well as some others on TreakEarth, I think that I will take some time shooting drops...
Anyway, I created a theme on the subject, which is much easier !

Stumbled onto your postings and have been going through them.

This macro shot is so lovely. Great POV and colours. The reflection of the sunlight is almost perfect. Interesting note. How many shots did you try out before you got this?

Now that is beautiful! Simply beautiful. I love the reflections in the droplet and especially that star.

What happened in the top left, though? Looks like a bit of camera jiggle. PP can fix that. I have a D70 myself and I've seen this. I had a suggestion from someone here the other day that using the self timer can prevent that.
