This afternoon, I have making a trip with my electric bike to the Netherlands, 12 km of my home in Belgium.
Between Aardenburg and Oostburg.
The white tulips were in bloom, but the red and pink colours were still one week to early.
The weather was wonderful lovely almost no wind and splendid springtime sun.

Harvest Tulips:
Most of the spring crops are harvested in summer. After the crop is sufficiently dead, the bulbs are ripe enough for harvest. Through a harvester bulbs are removed undamaged from the ground. The harvester removes the bulbs out of the ground and then separates the sand from the bulbs through a sieve. In this way, as much as possible on the ground land left and only come to the bulbs in the box for further processing.
Dry
After harvesting of the bulbs they are dried. The bulbs are harvested in boxes and can be placed using a forklift for the dry wall. The dry wall blows a mixture of warm air through the boxes. Returning to dry requires a specific approach and is supported by the knowledge of the breeder and the climate computer. Through sophisticated control techniques can be given proper treatment by species and crop. The climate computer monitors and controls the temperature, humidity, ventilation etc. Only with a modern equipment climate control remain guaranteed healthy bulbs. After drying, the last sand of the bulb mechanically separated by means of a sieve.

Hello John,
Too early for the red and pink tulips, but the white ones are impressive enough as seen in these almost endless lines. They make an overwhelming sight under the bright sky in a photo with excellent sharpness and clarity.

More depth in a photo isn't possible. These rows of thousands of tulips lead the eyes inevitably to the backgound, to the rows of trees. A somehow fascinating scenery...

yes, i guess its tulip time again isn't it.
here in Vancouver, our spring has not sprung yet, its been abnormally cold - so the tulip season has been pushed back about 1 month.

amazingly LONG field here, love the tall trees in the bg to anchor the scene way in the back. fun shot, fun to view too. well composed. cheers

we usually see the red or yellow tulip fields, here a surprising white color. From a distance it may pretend to be a field covered with snow.
Very impressive pattern stretching to infinity.
