Photographer's Note
At the entrance to the harbour of Lelystad at the Markermeer a 25m high statue of a crouching man welcomes the sailors. It is an artwork by the british artist Antony Gormley erected in 2010. It's title is 'Exposure' and it is made of galvanized steel. I think the word exposure in this case has nothing in common with the photographic sense of the word, but it means that this statue is exposed to the powers of nature without any shelter.

Hello Roland,
This is a fantastic sculpture by a clever artist. It is placed in an interesting environment, and on this particular day the grey sky provided a good background that enhances the impact of the kneeling figure. The sailing boat is a good additional feature. I wouldn't crop anything here. ;-)

Hi Roland, the work of art is exposed to all kinds of bad weather in fact, but being made of steel it is certainly strong and resistant. Beautiful perspective, you played very well with difficult light to best show the silhouette details. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Salut Roland,
Une intéressante oeuvre d'art avec cette structure et cette gigantesque silhouette, bien cadré avec la perspective donnée par l'allée en avant-plan et avec le détail du voilire à droite, très réussie.
