Autumn Bog, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

This is about the far as I can get into Forellhogna National Park on wheels, after driving a curvy and narrow gravel road for almost 30 km. If you want to continue, trekking is the way or you can join a horseback riding tour!

What you see here is one of numerous small log cabins scattered all over the NP, many of them open for free use. Spending the night in one of these is a very special experience, during the bright Nordic summer with the wildlife close.

To catch your breakfast you go to the small river not far away, and if you have angling skills you can enjoy fresh trout fried by the riverside for your morning meal…

Red tone of late summer, Pablo, suggested look as the wild west in the USA, but really in Norway.
i see trees already with no leaves, and grey tone prevailed on.
Yet, managed a fine shot on nature, as always.

What a brilliant autumn day!
Although trees are leafless, orange tones of bog hay makes this look so colourful and inviting. Abandoned looking barn is a superb main focal point and mountain background so typically Norwegian.

The distance between the cabin and the mountain is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the log cabin. The afternoon light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Un cadrage parfait qui met bien en valeur cette construction particulière avec un toit de tourbe et en bois rond. Les arbres ont perdu leurs feuilles et les herbes sont jaunes comme l'automne.

Very nice photo with vibrant autumn colours. I study your photo with great interest. It is not surprising that there is a small river nearby. I have a feeling that the land is flooded in spring and that the lush but now dry grass is the result of this. I also guess that it has been pastures for domestic animals in the past. here another day of very hight temperatures (34 celsius), a small drought and terrible effects in the plantations

Hello Pablo,

The end of September the trees were bare and the grass a golden orange. The log cabin I see has the dirt roof that probably gives good insulation against the cold. Excellent photo as usual.
