About Poland. Page Ten: About Free Time.
In the 1980s an express road linked Katowice and a small mountainous town of Ustroń.
The town was supposed to becom a small Polish Las Vegas, with casinos, disco clubs, and a good hotels infrustructure.
The place has become a decent ski resort with several attractive ski lifts and ski runs.
People love to come here to spend their free time.

Hi Jerzy!
Fantastic shot of this paraglider above this fog covered landscape. He is placed perfect between the tree`s silhouette and the mountans in the oposite corner.I hope he stayed above the clouds,otherwise....

Free time, free space, a nice graphic shot again, with a slightly smaller human presence this time; what a wonderful countryside! And above all, to be above (and, with Antonioni), Beyond the Clouds...
good night from below the clouds!

Jerzy,
At first I did not see the parachutist, and just admired the clouds between the mountains. But then what a surprise to see the crescent shape of the parachutist descending into the valley below. Beautifully conceived shot, with excellent compostion and color. Regards from Virginia, Bulent

Bardzo fajne zdjęcie, dobrze namierzone. Zastanawia mnie czy ten facet wie dokąd leci i gdzie wyląduje.
Pozdrawiam, Marek.

Hey Jerzy,
wow that sure is quite the view. The sheer size of the place that so dwarfs the man is breathtaking. Then you have the nice balance with the two solid pieces of land in opposite corners of this sea of clouds and finaly the icing on the cake, the parachute.

Flying over there must be freedom ... even if I have to confess that I have a certain fear for altitude I would love to have an idea of what it is like.
Nice capture, Jerzy. A great composition,
Nino

Hi Jerzy
What a thought provoking shot, to me at least. Technically I think the composition is spot on, the trees bottom left help give a sense of scale. But my first thought was that it highlighted the insignificance of man, against nature, but then it gave me a real sense of mans freedom, and ability to choose the use of leisure time. But then finally, such choices always come down to wealth, or lack of. Like I say, the best photographs make us ask questions. TFS

Witaj,
Uwielbiam taką przestrzeń.
Taki widok można tylko określić Faustowskim "Chwilo trwaj". Jest jakaś nieokreślona wolność i potęga w tym małym człowieku.Morze chmur urzeka.

Hi Jerzy,
Freefall, free time, freedom - all such concepts come to mind with this shot. Above the clouds there is this euphoria, the conqueror's mind at work. The lighting is superb, and I like the framing with the trees in the foreground, with the distant hills being literally "lapped" by the swirling mists. Well captured, Jerzy. Have a good week.

Finest...
If you scroll the window to the upper edge of the screen to cut-off that empty horizon up there.
Finest...
If you imagine no huge, white frame around.
Still... Breath taking and holding in tight, palpitating grip.
Possibly, the best photo of this kind I ever saw in my miserable life.
WHERE exactly have you've been standing Jerzy, to take that airy marvel?
JG.

Dobry Wieczor Jerzy,
A bit unusual from you that one, are you trying to make an entry for alainh in the "usual suspect" series ??? That's very much his signature here, an overlooking PoV over the clouds, a great sensation of freedom and the nice details of the flying para well placed in the frame, efficient and I like it !
Have a nice evening,
Jean-Yves

But why wait months? Especially when you offer me, in a so wonderful way, these clouds! So after all, you had your trip above the clouds! ;)
So let me 'praise' that photo here. Firstly, because it is so different of what you post usually. I know, others said it too. Notice that I said 'post' and not 'shoot'. I'm quite sure we don't post all the style of pictures we take. Second, because it is so inspiring! For the vastness of the space, the immensity of it. It gives me oxygen! It gives me freedom. It gives me possibilities.
Beauty of the clouds. Clouds of beauty. That tiny paraglider in red (yes! in red!) in the infinity. Beauty...
And yes, cut the white sky. I know, I know, George said it. But, do I always have to disagree with him? ;)

Wow, a rare wide landscape shot from Jerzy! This breathes space and oxygen my friend! Really like it. Those tiny turquoise wings are marvelous. It shines a light I cant explain. The inclusion of the foreground dark grass and the background mountains are crucial for the success of this. Amazing!

Beautifully composed J - great inclusion of the foreground element to balance and ground the image - imagine just leaping off into the unknown of those clouds - that blue and red - perfect for striking the contrast at that scale in this scene - great shot J.

Ola Jerzy, I love the sensation of beeing above such a white fluffy carpet. It obviously give me a great sensation of freedom. May be not for some persons like Ana, who likes to be with both feet on the floor, but for me this image is amazing.
Regards from India (I have already good ones of people to share),
