The end of autumn in Gasienicowa valley.

The Gasienicowa Valley is one of the most visited places in the High Tatras Mountains.

It is a popular winter sports destination thanks to the great alpine slopes. Kasprowy Wierch, which is the most significant mountain in the Western Tatras, is also situated nearby.

Hello Piotr,
I like this view and this photo very much. You composed it very well, with the track going down the hill between the trees into the valley. There is a fine balance between green, grey and brown areas, everything covered in a thin layer of snow. It's a beautiful scenery and the light is fine in spite of the dark clouds.

Hello Piotr,
A very attractive composition that would also play out well in black and white. The road draws us into the scene allowing to move from one house to the next before reaching the background mountains. Good use of the foreground trees as a frame. Excellent light management; the image has a pleasing range of tones and very good clarity.

This is by far the best landscape I have seen today. Superb viewpoint and wonderful rendition of the few colour tones. The small path leads the eye into the village. There is a very pleasing arrangement of angles made by the slopes. Absolutely first class.

Bonjour Piotr,

J'aime beaucoup ce paysage d'hiver. Le regard suit naturellement la petite route dans l'image, ce qui lui donne de la profondeur. Le ciel bas donne un petit côté mystérieux à l'ensemble.

Hello Piotr,
When covered in snow the Gasienicowa Valley will provide excellent pictures for Christmas cards, I believe.
But also now the view is fantastic. The houses with their steeply sloping roofs are a very attractive sight.
You've composed the picture excellently with the parts with the green vegetation alternating with the lighter coloured parts and with the trees on the foreground nicely framing that foreground.
A very well balanced picture.

Snow already? Brrrr, I'm not ready for it yet. The light dusting has not succeeded in hiding all color from view. A very pleasant landscape with subdued colors, TFS.

Witaj Piotr,

It looks more like the wilds of Alaska or Siberia than Poland. Good sharpness and I like the minimalist color. Nice repetition of the rustic chalets. The snow covered fg path adds lead-in lines. Tfs!

in some aspects if we watch this image fastly it looks like a view of houses in the middle of a flood. after some seconds we can see the real effect of the ice and the golden plants. nice perspective and details of this place. TFS.
