The northern end of Rynek

Here’s another photo of the main market square in Wrocław (Rynek we Wrocławiu), this time the northern part, which is also full of many richly decorated and colourful façades. The tower in the background is part of the St Elizabeth's Church (Kościół Św. Elżbiety), which I showed last week.

Hallo Lars,
Een prachtig plein met mooie traditionele architectuur langs alle zijden.
Als verkeersvrije zone lijkt het er aangenaam te wandelen en op een bank of een terrasje even uit te blazen.
Is Wrocław ook een stad die na de tweede wereldoorlog opnieuw opgebouwd diende te worden zoals heel wat steden in Polen?
Het heldere zomerweer deed de vele kleuren mooi tot uiting komen.

Hej Lars,
Jag vet inte hur många gånger jag gick den här sträckan, men det hann bli ett antal på mina tre dagar i staden. Jag antar att det var Covid som höll de vanliga folkmassorna borta. Det här är faktiskt lagom mycket folk för min smak, tillräckligt många för att skapa en livaktig bild men tillräckligt få för att vi ska kunna beundra de vackra byggnaderna ostört. Ljuset var fantastiskt.

Wonderful shot of this beautiful detailed town square framed by amazing architecture on both sides which is nicely fitting the frame. Focus of attention is directed to the buildings that carries weight of this shot. I love the pastel colours as well as the flow of people. You timed this really well to include this couple, so well placed in your f/g, acting as an immediate guide into the scene.
You have created an excellent linear perspective, as the lines of the peripheral buildings converge.

Een mooi stadsbeeld genomen uit de meest klassieke hoek.
Ook niet zo druk, misschien door corona dat mensen de steden mijden.
Maar uw foto is heel mooi, met perfecte diepte en perspectief.

Hi Lars,
I just posted a photo taken on the very same day of the year :) Just two hours drive away. It sees we both had a fantastic weather on that day. Nice to see Wroclaw through your eyes. It encourages me to visit this lovely town again, maybe next year. It is relatively close to my family and I did make a bigger photo trip to Wroclaw but with an analogue camera so the pictures are not that great quality for the upload. I really have to revisit it after seeing you great reportage,

Hello Lars, the buildings are so colourful and in a variety of styles, a gift for a photographer!
A perfect point of view with the width of the road used so well.

I see that despite the pandemic, you managed to visit Wroclaw this summer. A great shot of the market square with colorful tenement houses and the tower of St. Elizabeth's Church.

What a great collection of shapes and colors. Both sides of this pedestrian walkway are full of interesting facades, and the cobblestones below add to the charm. The lighting is beautiful, too.

Vandaag heb ik besloten aan te sluiten bij je prachtige serie foto’s uit Wroclaw. Een stad die mij zeer aangenaam heeft verrast wat weer duidelijk wordt als ik naar jouw foto’s kijk maar ook mijn eigen archief doorspit voor hoogtepunten en dat waren er velen.
