Reflection, a photo from Madeira, Islands

Photographer's Note

This is one more photo taken on the Praça do Município (Town Hall Square) in Funchal, the main town of Madeira. The view in the opposite direction is quite beautiful but it is well lit in the afternoon, and I have visited this lovely square in the morning, trying to catch last moments of the sun before heavy clouds completely took over the island.

Hello Mariusz,

This is, for me, an excellent composition.
The elegant, stone feature, in the centre of the pool, is very strong and immediately guides us towards the water, where the reflections are amazing!
The figure in purple, wearing the mask, is well placed to link us to the b/g buildings which are equally sharp.

Wonderful effect with the relection over the fontana, Mariusz, its round base appears as marvelous mirror view.
Good view towards the street and styled buildings on the far side, the man in purple shirt enliven the scene.

Hello Mariusz,

I took a similar shot in Bari although the reflection wasn't as pronounced as this one. Good colour, sharpness and framing. The masked man is a sign of the times. Tfs!

Hello Mariusz, there are some lovely details in this scene.
The gentleman in his purple shirt is perfectly placed, and I notice that on the left there are purple flowers which somehow give balance. I spy some of the lovely paving that we saw in your last shot too.
The reflection is ‘ the icing on the cake.’

So you've been searching for reflections and you did find some.
The water was very shallow as we can also see the shapes of the stones through the reflections.

I liked this slice of the square. the reflections added a special flavor to the compo.I visited Madeira in 1980 with my family. I remember well the feeling of isolation and loneliness I felt while there, this island has the same size of my municipality and two other neighbor ones..

A well chosen framing to capture this beautiful composition, the fountain in a mud allows the street to the right of view to give a good perspective to the composition, the building that we see in front has a beautiful reflection in the fountain.
Very good color that makes the composition more attractive.
