Photographer's Note

The volcanic origin of the Madeira island implies the lack of beaches.

The Madeira coast is rocky and steep, with many narrow mountain passages.

The Girão “cape” -located to the west of the Funchal capital city- is the second larger cliff all over the world, and the first in all over Europe.

This peak offers magnificent panoramic views of the island over the sea... such this one

from 580 meter of altitude over the sea in wich one can recognize the men work and even the rocks under these stuning blue transparent waters.

Bonita foto, com cores excelentes, principalmente a graduação do azul na água! Deve dar um "frio na barriga" tirar essa foto num local desses, mas vale a pena!

Fantastic POV here.
I was there too,but didn`t come so close to the edge because I`m afraid of height.
Composition is perfect with one half of sea and one half of coast and land.A sharp image with fantastic colors of the sea and your shadow in the bottomn corner works well for the composition.

I'm in shock, Rui. I never would be able to take such a shot. This huge drop makes me feel uneasy even just seeing it on the screen. Nevertheless, this is a real marvel of photography. Outstanding!

Uma vertiginosa magnífica imagem. Já vi o Cabo Girão a partir do mar e muitas fotos; geralmente é impressionante. Mas o teu ponto de vista dá-nos uma visão ainda mais impressionante.
Os tons do mar e rochas também estão magníficos.
Uma coisa que sempre me fascinou na Madeira (e locais semelhantes) é este aproveitamento de todos os palmos de terra, onde se possa plantar nem que seja uma couve.

Dá vertigens...!
Os tons do mar estão fantásticos. Gosto também da margem na diagonal, com aproximadamente metade de mar emetade de terra.
A pedra está um pouco sobre-exposta em algumas zonas.

Magnificent view Rui, the cultivation looks vastly different than the rows of vines I saw when I was there, I also like the visibility beneath the sea and the yellow flowers at the bottom left corner.
