Photographer's Note

Following my travelogue, i went to "Pocinho", a litlle village on Douro edges, known because of the barrage (also called barrage of Pocinho) that confines Douro waters in this region.

Besides the natural beauty of the barrage, what really maked my day was this "abandoned" old train, kept in an inactive part of the railway, that i found near the Pocinho railway station.

Founding abandoned stations in this region is a commun thing to happen, since part of the mythical "Douro railway" located along Douro edges, since Spain to Porto, is no longer active (i will post a picture for you to see one of them), but founding beauties like this! It was incridible to me aproach this iron horse and discover some details of it past life!

One thing that amazed me was the fact that this piece of history was hided on a part of the station, surronded by cement bags from a factory nearby the station (you can see the shadow of the bags on the left part of the picture), and can only be seen by mistake, like it hapened with me :(

I used clone tool to eliminate an electrical structure behind the train that was a litle "out of place" to me. Croped to eliminate the bags, did a litle sharpening and curves in order to bring more details from the shadow parts of the train, cause the sun was not in a confortable position for this shot :)
