Photographer's Note
YUUUPIIIII!!!!
By this time of the year, we start to feel more happy since the days tend to be longuer, sun is starting to shine frequently, the sad rainy days are going away (at least with the frequency of the winter season) and.....the main reason for our happyness: an explosion of life is getting ready to occur all around :)))
For us, the «trekers» who love nature, birds, flowers, animals..., this is the beggining of the greatest season of the year. So, this were my motivations on this one: i´m starting to realize that the wonderful colors from spring life are just «exploding» and we have nature in all its strenght for us to explore and feel fascinated with :)
These are two beautiful flowers from diferent habitats in Portugal: the left one is from «Estrela» mountain and i toke it at 1600m high (or close), and is one example of the (still) rare flowers at this altitude at the time (they close themselves at the end of the day when light levels are down and cold is coming...here they are beautifuly opened); the right one is from «Figueira da Foz», from a rocky beach zone (Cabo Mondego), and is a kind of xerophyte (don´t know if this exists in english but what i tried to explain they belong to a family of plants that have thick leaves to get more water and face the hard conditions in these areas..like cactus species)

They are beautifull Marco, gorgeous. So clear, so colourfull, so sharp. The flowers them selves are beautifull. Very very well done Marco. If this is what spring will bring then i look forward to it even more then before. I liked your note too.

Parabens.

hello Marco, your optimism and enthousiasm are contagious! Isn't it the greatest time of the year? I really like both your flowers (great macro's! Fantastic colors and sharpness) and the idea of showing them together. Spring, here we (TE-ers) come!
