Near Alqueva...., a photo from Evora, South

Photographer's Note

Taken from a distance, during one of my long walks in the fields, not far from the village of Alqueva, that give the name to the big lake.
The fields are especially beautiful this month and this lonely tree caught my eye immediately.

A very fine lonely tree, a theme I discovered on this site and which I always enjoy. I think this is the first such tree that I have seen composed without any sky, it's just set in a land of green and it works really well. Great shot of this very lonely tree.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition. Très belle construction d'image. L'arbre est bien placé dans l'image et donne de la profondeur à l'ensemble. J'aime les couleurs.

A very elegant composition. The tree is well placed and there are enough many tones of green to give the photo a lively expression. The two lines across the field provide a fine structure to the composition.

di solito queste foto vengono chiamate minimaliste, ma sono anche le foto che ci lasciano pensare e fantasticare, per cui non c'è proprio niente di minimalismo, ma ci sono tanti, tantissimi pensieri e tutti positivi.

Another very minimalist but very artistic photo. The tree looks so lonely in that vast expanse of greenery. I like the textures of the windblown grass and the contrast of the tree. Well seen and well shot. Congratulations.

I love lone trees. This is such a simple and yet impressive composition. I like the all green setting and the two horizontal a bit tilted lines which enhance the geometry of the picture.

a very beautiful, artistic picture, minimal in its composition but full of textures, harmonious tones and atmospehere. It's a fine, graphic, timeless scene, the tree could hold an almost symbolic role. The tonal graduation and the dark areas on the tree make a surprisingly strong impact.
