Photographer's Note

Sesimbra municipality is placed in the southwest of the Peninsula of Setúbal, possesss an area of 194,98 kilometre squared and integrates the Area Metropolitan of Lisbon.Is limited to the north for the cities of Almada and Seixal, the northeast for the Barreiro , the east for Setúbal and the South and West for the Atlantic Ocean . Its shoreline with multiple landscapes, extends since the Lagoon of Albufeira until a Mountain of the Arrábida.

The sunset was in my coasts after one day of temperatures above of the 30 degrees.

The colors are quite hot and very beautiful. The texture of the ground is well detailed, the sea like a fabric carpet. An imposing sky. The boat is well placed and an outline of l' gives us; vastness of the sea. Cheer.

Goncalo,
The low light angle works great creating fine hues and colors. Your composition is great placing the boat on one side of the frame leading the eye across the scene. The waterline creates a diagonal through the scene giving the photo a sense of direction. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has excellent sharpness.

Je ne sais pourquoi cette photo agit sur moi comme un regret sur des vacances qui s'achèvent. Aucun être vivant mais des pierres dorées et une barque sur cales devant la mer et le ciel figés, cette photo est comme un sortilège.

The sea is such an unusual colour and texture here and I really like the way it contrasts with the sand and pavement which are both the same colour. Pretty light on the boat and attractive yellow mist on the horizon to separate sea from sky.

Hi, Gonçalo. A simple but efficient composition. The boat in the foreground contrasts very well with the rest of the picture. It also gives good depth to it and leaves the view open on the immensity of the ocean. Nice evening colours and light.
