Fishing Squad, a photo from Setubal, South

Photographer's Note

This is a picture that i took in a small village of Sesimbra.
The fishermen’s use this little boats to go fishing mackerel and sardines.
They go fish every nights and come back early in the morning to sell the fish.

Esta é uma foto que tirei na pequena vila de Sesimbra.
Estas traineiras são utilizadas para pescar carapau e sardinha.
Os pescadores vão à pesca todas as noites e regressam de manhã bem cedinho para venderem o seu peixe.

Hi Teresa, good shot, a little bit blurred and out of focus, but took from a good point of view and with a beautiful black and white that transfors the image in a very old one.

Ola Teresa,

I like the perspective very much, and... in my case... also appreciate the blur since it gives the image some air of timelessness.

Regarding composition, I would only try cloning the small boats (the bow of one appears on the right, and there is another one on the left), leaving only the three ones that are facing you.

I will try this with a workshop, and hope you like the results.

Slight blurry & out of focus shot, but it does not take away the beauty of the image. For a moment the boats look like curious human faces with the symbols on the sides appearing as eyes.

I really like the way you've framed this little row of fishing boats. The detail you've captured makes them seem very sturdy and effective. The great face and the excellent maintenance of the boats shows they are well-loved.
