Photographer's Note

The fruit market in Funchal is surprisingly different- teeming with locals and tourists and crammed with every imaginable fruit and flower.
The vendors are great at letting you try their wares. They practically shove it down your throats…
Apart from all the usual apples, oranges and bananas there are lots of exotic fruits.
The most incredible things includes crosses between things like bananas and pineapples, melon and apples banana and maracuja. Theses crosses some of tem I intend to upload here.

Hola Rui.
Excelente fotografía, llena de detalles. Siempre me han gusta do este tipo de fotos de los mercados, y a todos los sitios que voy siempre visito el mercado para ver que come la gente. Lo primero que me ha llamado la atención de tu foto es la exposición; es perfecta, y eso que en este tipo de fotos no es fácil exponer bien. El enfoque tambien es perfecto y la composición muy buena. Un saludo y enhorabuena por esta maravillosa fotografía.

Rui, I love shots of markets. Those places have something special and you captured that special very well, despite the difficult light conditions. It isn't very easy to balance so many different light sources well and still you got a pretty good endresult.
