Photographer's Note
The Furnas valley is an echanted place where people live amidst hot springs, water bubbles from fissures in the ground.
As a child I spent several weeks in this very small town(no more than 4500 residents)during the summer and spring. Some of the natural springs have therapeutic elemnts and almost everyone in the town can tell you which spring to drink from to help with a stomach ache, or a headache. In some of the small streets we can still see the house kesys on the locks this so that the neighbors can come in if they need anything when the home maker isn't home.
Fom the web "- In the town of Furnas the “Caldeiras”, are even more spectacular. Many openings in the earth sprout geysers of boiling hot water. The medicinal mud and the faucets of mineral waters of various tastes and temperatures are all conditions which make “Furnas” one of the richest hydrologic regions in Europe."

Very nice colors and great depth. I like the three layers you have here. This foreground scene. The distant mountains. And then the sky. And beautifully lit throughout. Perhaps a bit strong on some of the rock face. Very nice lines, though, moving around this shot connecting the three layers and really creating movement. This sky is really outstanding. It seems to have a setting that is therapeutic alone without the hot springs.

Good landscape by the differant areas of shade starting in the corner where the curve of the river takes its turn, very dynamic. Also the variety of colors make this a rich phto to spot mant things on it. Where are you putting your house ?

Bela foto, Cristina, com várias tonalidades (mais escuro no céu, médio a meio e claro em baixo); bonito céu a acompanhar muito bem o resto da composição, de que gostei muito!

Very useful note Cristina and a nice photo to show this valley. The little mist/smoke on the crest, coming through the trees and by the river at the foot of the bluff, must be coming from those hotsprings or fissures. This is the point of interest in your photo.

Cristina, beautiful shot. It's good to follow the stream "disappear". Up and down, great colors. What time was it when you took this?
Excellent job.
