Photographer's Note

I had a comment that the Concert Hall looked like a University. Well here is a University, and it does indeed look like the concert hall. It's the Central University Library of Bucharest. ("Carol I University Foundation" (Fundația Universitară Carol I)). It was built by French architect Paul Gottereau and opened in 1895. More information here:

funny comment in your note, i like that, smart :)
now thats a cool contrast of yellows vs blues, and light vs shadow. the building whether its a concert hall or university is quite stoic and stands proudly as if its pumping up its shoulders. looks great. cheers

Difficile de se fier à notre jugement à voir cet édifice qui prend des airs qu'il n'a pas...
Son architecture reste très belle et la mise en image avec cette statue équestre au premier plan est une réussite.

Hello Chris, I looked for the Concert Hall but I couldn't find it. There is an error here - the photo is not from Iasi. The style is a bit like the University Library in Warsaw, but of course not the modern one but the old. beautiful building and wonderfully presented.

Hello Chris,
I saw many buildings of this style in Bucharest from about the same time, when the city became known as the Paris of eastern Europe. It's an elegant building and the light is falling nicely on the upper floors. There are enough people (and recycling containers) to make the view lively.

Chris, splendid building housing a university library. A statue representing a horse rider is placed at its entrance. The building is more than one century years old. The golden light is shining on the library upper part. Good framing.

the lower part of the building looks like a typical neoclassic building, but the dark roof looks more different. nice use of the monument in FG.
