Photographer's Note

Sometimes a phone is all you got,
Walking in young moonlight at dusk
And in the bitter cold a thought
To all the cameras bought but not brought
But then the spirit rises and ready,
I jump into action,deciding henceforth
This shot could make waves on trekearth!

unknown poet, inspired by Gentleman Jack, about 5 hours

This is a winter shot from my old phone, clean before you recycle right? I had long forgotten about it. If memory serves right when SD metadata fail, it is the work of a Samsung A70 with its 12 Mpix back panoramic camera, a Sony module it seems. Leaving work after an exhausting long day I caught the silver of the young moon just rising above trees in the yard of our institute..A lovely snowy day of the days of yonder. It was absolutely silent- you could hear your breath.. and crows in the distance. The cold was bitter and the snow crushed beneath the feet with smooth, fluffy sounds.
Technical note The quality of this one is really bad- but not because it was originally so.It is up-sampled to Heaven and back as it is reconstituted from a thumbnail (the image itself was corrupted on the SD hence the metadata is all hazy and incomplete courtesy of my brain).
