Photographer's Note

Now there's graffiti and graffiti...this colorful wall came into view as I strolled some back alleys in the old town center. Next to the Anglican Church that is also situated on this narrow colorful street, this sidewall appears to be the collaborative artwork of three different artists (groups?) that signed and dated it 2019 - top left corner. The rightmost corner claims some connection with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Romanian text confusingly says : Endangered colors. The painting loosely shows a sturgeon fish (caviar anyone?) ,a species of large vulture that is endemic to our region (zagan), and some sort of buffalo cyborg of sorts... Artistic licenses were taken with these two-but the fish is realistic. Asking around I found that the walled garden behind it belongs to an art club/terrace bar (nice combination!) and that they have been actively re-modelling the area for a couple of years now.Another idea of theirs was a re-imagining of a small park - no more concrete anywhere, just a lot of..sand, like on beaches, and little planked walkways across the space. Kids love it.. adults curse it..
Technical Note: this is another test shot from the little Canon M50.The colors and textures were left as the camera wished ....the only adjustments on this piece was a resize to conform to site standards. The vibrancy of the colors is due to good lighting that day- a sunny summer afternoon with light falling squarely onto the a slight angle that brought all that texture into view.
