Aerotravel Lufthansa City Center, a photo from Cluj, West

Photographer's Note

A street scene from central Cluj in western Romania. I do not know what the former function of this building was, but it now houses the Aerotravel Lufthansa City Center offices and the Habitat coffee room shop. The address is Strada Horea 5, Cluj-Napoca 400174, Romania, right beside the Somesul Mic canal. The tram passing by with reflected Romanian flags caught my eye here.

Bonjour Chris,

J'aime beaucoup ce bâtiment même si la lumière est difficile, mais j'aime aussi l'animation dans la rue et les ombres qui se dessinent très longues.

Hello Chris,
This special building is clearly older than aviation and must therefore have had a different purpose first. It does have the appearance of a hotel.
Nice picture with the low sunlight.

A very nice photo of this interesting building, nice city scene with the heavy traffic on the street, and in your photo we can see what does annoy photographers most: wires and cables :(

wow, why havn't we seen this building on TE more often, or perhaps we have I just don't recognize it. The use of the building right now, today, sounds quite boring - I wonder what it's original use was - i bet that would be much more interesting. what a beautiful piece of architecture, this is a beauty! love the light and shadows too. cheers

Hi Chris,
very impressive architecture.
Both buildings in the fame have such elaborate decorations. The subtle light helped to emphasize it.

The contrasts are strong but I am recently more and more into enjoying natural strong contrasts like here.
Great street scene.
I must visit this beautiful town someday,

I liked the building, it has a beautiful and unusual style. I usually don't like trams because these wires in the street, I guess there is very few tram lines in brazil.
