This is the main entrance to the annual Cluj Christmas Market, held in the town's main square (Piata Unirii). In the bg is the Roman Catholic Cathedral. Might load a workshop of Santa for Gert!

Thanks for the dedication, but why me? Most people love Santa much more than I do! ;-)
The main photo is nicer. The decorations are quite tastefully made and haven't crossed the kitsch threshold. They're perfectly captured with fine sharpness and exposure against the sky at the blue hour.

Hello Chris,

I think you have chosen the best viewpoint, for you have been able to frame the illuminated tent shape with this equally well illuminated archway. They show up learly and brightly against the darkening sky.

Chris, a big arch decorated with fairy lights leads to Cluj Christmas market. A fir tree is also decorated on the left. Locals and tourists flock to that attraction and meeting point in the city during this period of the year. Fine colors, excellent light management by night, good sharpness, regards.

i get the feeling you have probably visited many Xmas markets all around the world, you certainly have travelled alot!
attractive little setup with the lit up arch way and the lights in a shape of a tent in the bg. blue hour lighting always helps too :) cheers

It's always nice to see holiday lights, especially against the blue hour sky. I like the effect of all the small lights, creating an illuminated tent over the market shoppers.
